And she had her first son; and folding him in linen, she put him to rest in the place where the cattle had their food, because there was no room for them in the house.


World English Bible
She brought forth her firstborn son, and she wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.

在羅馬統治的以色列人(國已亡), 主要交通工具, 牛車(較少), 驢(主要), 羊.

馬, 是羅馬軍隊所用, 極有錢的人也可能用馬, 一般人就用以上的驢/牛車. 主耶穌出世在貧窮家, 投宿的客棧隔壁有個牲畜的秣槽 (crib), 是養驢/羊用的.
